My name is Perla Grisham - a recent graduate from Laguna College of Art & Design (LCAD) with a degree in Animation, and a lifelong storyteller with a passion for background and concept art.

Art has always been a part of me, but I didn’t consider it a career until one deeply personal moment changed everything. After my grandfather passed away, I chose to honor him the best way I knew how - by drawing him. Not as a traditional portrait, but as the funny, joyful person he was. I made a cartoon. In that moment, I discovered animation’s magic: its power to revive memory, personality, and spirit. I was hooked. I realized brining characters to life and telling stories mattered.

Since then, I’ve dedicated myself to learning everything I can - experimenting with visual development, mastering new techniques, and always striving to push my craft forward. LCAD has been instrumental in my growth, providing the tools and mentorship to evolve as an artist.

Now, I’m looking to join a studio where I can contribute, collaborate, and keep learning — creating world and characters that connect with people the way animation first connected with me.
